Why do we do what we do?

Everybody at Creative Coaching believes passionately that organisations, leaders, teams and individuals have vast and often unrealised power to perform.

Helping people and organisations plug in to their true potential and achieve more in ways that amaze them, and those around them, is why we get out of bed in the morning.

Why do we work with organisations and their senior people?

Because we believe that when we identify and dismantle obstacles to high performance, excellence will follow.

Because we believe that people who are in ‘leadership roles’ today do have within them the capacity to become true leaders tomorrow.

Because we refuse to accept that low, or no collaboration between divisions, business units, teams and the individuals within them is the way life ‘has’ to be.

And because, even though there may be a history of goals failing to be reached, of poor communication or of under-delivery and wastage of resources, the future can be very, positively, different.

Because we know that, when we establish what the real dynamics are today, we can identify and overcome any gaps in ability to achieve positive change for tomorrow.

Because we know that, as we support, encourage and develop specific behaviours, talents and outlooks, the potential people had within them all along to lead and inspire becomes an active asset - to themselves and to their organisation.

Where did your mind go? Naughty … smile

In our last blog I called out for self-care. It’s important … it’s more than important – It’s VITAL.

Although I am still not officially working as I recover from the trials and tribulations of the virus I am still talking to friends, to clients who have become friends and to clients more broadly and am concerned to hear of the impacts of working from home, and Zoom or Teams fatigue. It’s a thing. There is also this franticness that I have been noticing – everyone is super, super busy – trying to keep the Earth turning while its inhabitants are in a spin.

Coronavirus, Depression, Mortality and Me…

This is difficult to write

I’ve had a tough few years…relationship break ups, international moves, disrupted business, the culmination of which landed me with depression for the second time in my life. A therapist once told me (in my first battle with this illness) that I was a high functioning depressive – because I could get up, get dressed, work, and appear to all intents and purposes like I was ‘normal’ (whatever that is).
