Tania Watson Biography
Tania’s background is in the design and communications sector, where she has over 25 years’ experience, including over a decade at board level. She also ran a successful agency of her own for six years, before retraining and reinventing herself as an executive coach.
Her extensive experience in leadership, consultative and coaching roles has given her an enlightening perspective on key corporate issues. Clients as diverse as Fujitsu, Linklaters, BP, KPMG, Oxfam, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, Bromley Education Business Partnership, Deloitte, Surrey County Council and Cedar have found that she speaks their language and understands their priorities.
Tania’s background in the creative sector and her specialist skills in coaching and mentoring have given her a drive to get individuals and teams communicating and working together efficiently and effectively, enabling groups and organisations to encourage and embrace change.
“I became an executive coach after more than 20 years in design and communications, creating campaigns and events to challenge, inspire, educate and entertain corporate and public audiences. To be successful, I had to bring out the best in people – particularly creative people – by offering focused encouragement and support. Coaching was a logical step to take to formalise my ongoing learning, give me tools to work with and a better understanding of what I was experiencing first-hand. As an executive coach, I support individuals and businesses stuck in their current paths, unable to move forward or make positive change. I passionately believe that we all have the answers within ourselves to realise our potential; my purpose is to help others to discover those answers.”
Tania runs her own coaching and business consultancy and currently serves as a non-executive director for The Generating Company – the UK’s leading contemporary circus company; and an advisory board member for Future Foundations – pioneers in providing training and support services for pupils, school leavers, students and graduates across the UK. She is a member of The Coaching Academy, The Association for Coaching, The Professional Guild of NLP and The British Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis Association.
